Gary Wilcox was the editor of Offbeat in the 1960s, one of the first teen music publications in America. In the 1970s, he was the editor of Photographer, one of the top three photography magazines in the world, with a subscription list that included the White House and the Kremlin. After a career as an award-winning designer, Gary retired from commercial work to pursue personal projects such as Jive and its companion website The Online Roots of Rock. |
