The Passing of Barbara McLintock
Granville Island Publishing is saddened to hear about death of Barbara McLintock, who, among the many things she did in her life, penned a book entitled SmokeĀ Free, about Victoria’s successful effort to ban smoking from public places.
As The Times Colonist points out in its obituary late last month, Barbara lived more than just one life. She was the Victoria reporter for The Province, an important member of the B.C. Coroners Service, an equestrian and an accomplished photographer.
She will be greatly missed by us and so many others.
