SUMMARY:Pnina's retirement sale

So it is happened for me.\nIn April I shall reach the ripe old age of 89 and after some health problems\, I understood that it was time to say goodbye. The time has come to leave my beloved house of 57 years\, as well as my studio\, and move to\nTapestry at UBC. \nTo celebrate this important event in my life\, as well as to honour Anne Adams’ and my own creation of Artists in our Midst Art Walk\, I shall have a final great sale of all\nmy work\, as well as of all the artist’s materials in my studio\, as follows: \nART – all prints\, paintings and drawings sold at 60% discount\, most of the proceeds\ndonated to Artists in our Midst. \nART SUPPLIES AND FURNITURE – Low prices\nHope to see you all in my studio for the last time!

SUMMARY:The Eyes of the Leopard: Reading & Book Signing
DESCRIPTION:Bring your kids and join our favourite author-archaeologist Dr. Brian Hayden this Saturday at the Nanaimo Chapters-Indigo for a reading from his latest prehistoric YA adventure\, The Eyes of the Leopard! \nEnter the Stone Age of France\, a prehistoric era of giant mammoths\, painted caves\, and fearsome cave lions. Fleeing starvation in their home territory\, thirteen-year-old Sev and his family have been grudgingly accepted into the powerful Bear Clan. Yet as his father climbs the ranks of the mysterious group of shamans known as the Lion Lodge\, Sev finds himself questioning the strange beliefs of his adopted band. Determined to unravel the secrets of the Lodge and prove his bravery\, Sev accepts a dare to enter the Cave of Lions—a forbidden cavern high on the mountain where the shamans of the Lodge commune with powerful spirits. \nWhen Sev’s trespass is revealed by his rival\, Bakar\, he is forced to make an impossible choice: join the Lodge or be exiled from the Clan—and exile is a potentially fatal sentence in the Ice Age world. Even joining the Lodge is no guarantee of survival\, as their deadly politics are reinforced with dangerous tests of loyalty!
