New Liberalism Launch
Matthew Kalkman released New Liberalism this past weekend at Liberal International’s 187th seminar and reception in London, UK. Members of government from thirty-six countries around the world came to attend the Liberal International Executive Committee meeting in London on the 14th and 15th of October. Liberal International is the world federation of Liberal political parties. Delegates included ministers, members of parliament, leaders of Liberal Parties aroundthe globe, and well regarded academics.
New Liberalism lays out the argument that one hundred years after the last major shift in liberalism comes a new dynamic–a reflection of the deeper understanding that we have a responsibility to preserve the freedom we enjoy today for future generations.
The book is endorsed by the President of Liberal International, as well as the former Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Dr. Lloyd Axworthy, and Professor Anne Pearson the granddaughter of former Prime Minister Lester Pearson.
