Yes, one of our Authors, Pnina Granirer, is retiring at the age of 89 years old.<\/p>\n
Many of you know about\u00a0Artist\u2019s in Our Midst, that wonderful weekend in the spring when we can visit the homes and studios of\u00a0Vancouver\u2019s artists and craftspeople. The co-founder of it (and one of my authors), Pnina Granirer sent the following invite to her wide circle of friends and admirers.\u00a0\u00a0Laurie Molday and Marg Lawrence exercised with her for years out at UBC.\u00a0\u00a0I took Josie Kitching and other conference companions on a tour of her studio many decades ago. Her woodcut of her young son and friend crouching down was reproduced on a UNICEF desk calendar and was the first piece of art I published in poster form. You can see it in her memoir\u00a0Light Within the Shadows\u00a0page 198. \u00a0Her second book with us is\u00a0Garden of Words,\u00a0a book of poetry. \u00a0Her art in colour is featured in both books.<\/p>\n
Her home and studio has a magnificent view of Vancouver and the North Shore, well worth visiting.<\/p>\n
