After moving to BC, she earned a BA and a BEd at the University of British Columbia, followed by a Master\u2019s degree and a PhD in educational administration.<br \/>\nIn 2006, the Scotts were recognized as \u201cOutstanding Canadians\u201d by the City of White Rock, BC, and Beth was named \u201cWoman of the Year\u201d by Soroptomist International of White Rock, an organization devoted to improving the lives of women and girls in the community and the world.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Beth invites you to walk with her as she tells about her prairie childhood, her challenging career and her fulfilling senior years.
