Eric Wickham

Eric Wickham was born in the small BC coastal village of Bamfield in 1942. For fifty years he was active in BC’s fishing industry as a commercial fisherman and as an advocate for commercial fishermen in their struggle with the federal government. He is past president of the Pacific Blackcod Association, the Fishermen’s Abalone Association and the Halibut Fishermen’s Association, and is a past member of the Ministry of Fisheries' Advisory Council.
For the past few years, Eric has spent most of his time on his olive farm in Perth Australia, returning to BC annually. This spring, he will return to BC to work with the Blackcod Association.
